Since 1976, many of the world's most respected architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants have entrusted Mr. Simonds with assisting them in defining strategies they can pursue to maintain a competitive edge. As President of Martin-Simonds Associates, John has guided the strategic planning process of more than 100 firms. He has conducted workshops and seminars for ACEC, AIA, SMPS, and NSPE and is the author of several highly regarded articles, including "Why Marketing Directors Fail," "An Uncommon View of Successful Project Managers," and "The Perils of Diversification."

An expert in growth and diversification strategies, management and profit management, acquisitions and mergers, Mr. Simonds is a dynamic, provocative, and stimulating workshop leader.

JENNIFER SIMONDS  Associate
Jennifer Simonds brings ten years of expertise as an instructor and group facilitator to clients of Martin-Simonds Associates.

With a Ph.D. in Personality Psychology and a Master's in Counseling Psychology, the perspective and insight Jennifer offers brings added value to our training programs, including the "Leadership Development Program," which identifies and develops future leaders within firms.

As an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association and its Consulting Psychology Division, Jennifer is licensed to administer a variety of assessment instruments within the Leadership Development Program and in coaching relationships. Instruments include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Assessment, the revised NEO Personality Inventory, and the DiSC Personal Profile System. Jennifer is also a curriculum developer and instructor for Martin-Simonds courses including "The Art and Science of Managing Technical Professionals Successfully," "Rainmakers: Attracting New Business to Your Firm," and "Critical Thinking and Decision Making for A/E Professionals."


LYNDA PRENDERGAST Associate
Lynda is Master Trainer in all aspects of communications, team-building, and interpersonal skills. She has twenty-five years of experience helping organizations such as Boeing, Microsoft, and Intel to improve and develop the attitudes, skills, and knowledge of their management team. Fifteen of those years Lynda has conducted training for clients of Martin-Simonds. She has experience with over fifty A/E firms since 1986.

Lynda is presently a Ph.D. candidate in Human and Organization Development. She holds a Master's Degree in Communication from the University of Washington.
